LA’s Ho99o9 have shared a fully collaborative mixtape today called Ho99o9 Presents Territory : Turf Talk Vol. 1. Their roster of collaborators is bountiful: Hoddy, the Young Jedi, Gnar, N8NOFACE, Elete, Jahsh Banks, Mother Lurk, HollyWood Dick, BRAINORCHESTRA, THE General, Krash Battle, and Nah Ellis. Special cameos include Pink Siifu, Pussy Riot, Dani Miller (of Surfbort), Plack Blague, MoRuf, Jesse Boykins III, Chase, ’89 the Brainchild, Pe$o Gordon, and Reaper Mook.
“There’s something powerful in moving as an army, as a unit, as a force,” commented Ho99o9’s theOGM, who’s also behind production as LilBooth. “It’s paying homage to all the Collectives / Crews like Wu Tang, Dip Set, G Unit, Ruff Ryders, Rawkus, Roc a Fella / State Property, FlipMode Squad, O.F., A.S.A.P.”
The grungy duo has also released the video for “Mind Yo Bizness” with Pussy Riot. It features a resolute Nadezhda Tolokonnikova shrugging her shoulders at slut-shamers and threatening anyone who violates her space. Watch it below.
