Chris Adams is a Los Angeles-based producer/songwriter who makes music under the name Pendant. They’ve released a new single today titled “Blood Rite” along with the news that they’ve signed to Saddle Creek. Following Pendant’s 2019 debut album Through a Coil, “Blood Rite” is punk-meets-techno bliss.
Adams said of the track, “I wrote ‘Blood Rite’ as an attempt to reckon with my past, unveiling traumas from my childhood and connecting them to the person I see myself as today. I wanted to track the ways in which I’m bound to my past for better and for worse—the memories that haunt me make me who I am just as much as the sentimental ones. It all runs through my blood concurrently and guides me through my life.”
They’re expected to release a new album next year, but for now, embrace “Blood Rite” below.
