Danny Elfman has connected with Trent Reznor for a reimagining of his song “True,” which comes from Elfman’s recent LP Big Mess. It’s pretty unsettling if not downright disturbing, but has a hypnotic propulsion to it. Together, the two veteran composers are freaks, as the track states. The song also comes with a visual piece directed by Aron Johnson that incorporates bits of the original video for “True” directed by Sarah Sitkin.

“This is the first duet/collaboration I’ve ever done in my life, so to do it with Trent was a real surprise and a treat,” said Elfman about the collab. “He’s always been a big inspiration to me, not to mention he has one of my all-time favorite singing voices.”
