King Krule has shared a new video of “Stoned Again (Live)” that shows him stubbornly throwing his guitar on the floor in the middle of the song. It’s illustrative of the tour in support of 2020’s Man Alive! that never fully came to fruition as a result of lockdown a few weeks after it kicked off. But now, Krule is letting us imagine that tour in our own minds with the forthcoming live album You Heat Me Up, You Cool Me Down. The live album features 17 tracks spanning his entire catalogue—you’ll get to experience the full set on September 10 with the album’s digital release followed by a physical LP scheduled for December 10.
In a press statement, Krule said: “Once spilt into the cheap 4 tracks and pirate software, now collosos energy redeemed into small diaphragms. Sat on toilets imagining the moment other animals would sing the very vibrations back to them. Climbing a ladder of fulfilment, that fullfills neither need or want, but in ascent maybe the organised grouping of heartbeats pounding into the universe for an hour and a half would not be better spent. I felt comfortable for once, young and uncomfortable with a tunnel of anxiety to walk through.”
