Courtney Barnett is prepping to release her next album Things Take Time, Take Time on November 12. But today she’s shared a contribution to another project, I’ll Be Your Mirror: A Tribute to The Velvet Underground & Nico. Barnett has reimagined the classic “I’ll Be Your Mirror” in her own image. In a press release, Barnett said: “When I listen to ‘I’ll Be Your Mirror’ and read the lyrics, I realise it’s a perfect song. I can relate to every inch of it. I just felt like I could get inside the world of this song.”
The tribute album I’ll Be Your Mirror will also features Andrew Bird, Lucius, Kurt Vile & The Violators, St. Vincent & Thomas Bartlett, Thurston Moore, Bobby Gillespie, King Princess, Fontaines D.C., and Iggy Pop & Matt Sweeney.
