Damon Albarn is releasing his second solo album The Nearer The Fountain, More Pure The Stream Flows on November 12 via Transgressive. He’s already shared two singles, and today we get the third, titled “Particles.”

“Particles” is the forthcoming album’s closer. It was inspired by a random chat between Albarn and a passenger on a Reykjavík-bound plane. According to the press release, the conversation “covered the disruption of the pandemic and the acknowledgment that disruption is impossible to maintain as peace always prevails.” The track features the album’s title within its lyrics and is structured around piano plucks, decadent string arrangements, and pearly synths.
