Last year, Ghanaian-American pop star Amaarae had her breakout moment with her debut album THE ANGEL YOU DON’T KNOW. Today, she’s gotten a big co-sign from Colombian-American pop star Kali Uchis who’s hopped on the remix to Amaarae’s hit “SAD GIRLZ LUV MONEY” that also features fellow Ghanaian-American singer-songwriter Moliy.

The new remix maintains the empowered coolness of the original, thinking solely of money as a means of personal growth and how sometimes one can’t control the desire to dance. Uchis, a queen of seductive cool, is a perfect collaborator, her bold words lightened by her sensual delivery: “I’m that bitch on and off of the cameras / Type of bitch few people can handle / And I walk like I know my pussy dangerous.”

In a press release, Amaarae said, “’SAD GIRLZ LUV MONEY’ was already a magical song with myself and Moliy but Kali takes it to a new dimension! I’m excited to have her on the remix, I’ve loved her music since I was 19 in college so to be able to work on this with her was amazing and she kills her verse! I think the Sad Girlz Worldwide are going to love this!” Uchis added: “I love this song so much and was honored when Ama asked me to be a part of this. She deserves all the success and blessings coming her way.”
