Go Wolf / 2015

After meeting at a Belfast barbershop, Go Wolf bandmates Chris Sloan and Scott Jamison bonded over a love of poetry, and since then the Irish band have been slowly climbing up the ranks of their local scene.

For their latest track “Slow Burn,” Go Wolf combine the rhythmic bass lines of new wave with the infectious synth-pop of the ’80s into one surprisingly modern package. The song has a gloriously retro feel to it, from the piercing synth keys to the epic saxophone solo that would make George Michael proud. The angular harshness of the synth is softened by funky bass, melodic guitars, and subtle vocal harmonies. Listen to the exclusive premiere of “Slow Burn” below:

“Slow Burn” appears on the band’s upcoming EP, Running, out March 17.
