This Friday, Arkansas rapper-producer Kari Faux is releasing the deluxe version of her 2020 album Lowkey Superstar. She’s already shared the new song “Too Much, Too Fast,” which is one of the four new tracks from the extended version. Lowkey Superstar Deluxe will hold three more new songs and three remixes with features from J.I.D, Smino, Yung Baby Tate, Deante’ Hitchcock, and Jazz Cartier. Today, Faux has shared a video for the song “Chattin’ Shit.”

In the video, co-directed with Brennan Pierre, Faux rides around in a spicy red sports car. Elsewhere she’s rapping while lo-fi, pixelated effects overwhelm the background. Childlike animation keeps the video in constant motion even when still images of Faux flash on the screen. Amidst the ever-changing atmosphere Kari Faux is calm, cool, and collected. It’s a fun and fitting visual for the somewhat voyeuristic track. “‘Chattin’ Shit’ is about people who watch and admire from afar but never actually show love,” she said in a statement about the song.
