It’s been four years since alt-J has released an album of original music. 2017’s RELAXER was followed a year later with the remix version Reduxer, which featured Pusha T, Little Simz, Twin Shadow, The Alchemist, Danny Brown, and GoldLink. Today, the trio has returned with a new single “U&ME” and the news of their fourth album, which is titled The Dream. “U&ME” also comes with the first visual to feature the full band; there’s some surreal effects and a lot of skateboarding.

According to a press release, “The Dream is an album where true-crime-inspired stories and tales of Hollywood and the Chateau Marmont rub shoulders with some of the band’s more personal moments to date.” Gus Unger-Hamilton said of the single: “It’s about being at a festival with your best friends, having a good time, togetherness, and the feeling in life that nothing could be any better than it is right now.”
