They say music brings people together—and it can! But it can also do the opposite. Sometimes someone’s taste, or how they talk about music, can be a huge turnoff. Chloe Moriondo gets this. They even wrote a song about it called “Favorite Band,” which they’ve shared a new video for today.

The catchy, laid-back pop song captures the downside of nothing comparing to the serotonin blast from hearing your favorite music. Moriondo states it plain and simple during the song’s chorus: “I just don’t like you as much as I like my favorite band.” It’s not a dealbreaker for everyone, but Moriondo hits the nail on the head for music lovers all around the world. “‘Cause I just don’t really like your music taste and its putting me off. It’s making me feel weird. That’s what this song is about,” they say at the end. Even worse is when that someone tries to lie their way through it. “Close my eyes trying to feel something, put on my favorite song / I can tell that you’re just bluffing, trying to sing along,” goes the disappointed bridge.

And who are some of Moriondo’s favorite musicians? They not only name-check them in “Favorite Band,” but feature them in the accompanying music video directed by Syd Ostrander. Simple Plan hang around poolside with Moriondo, while later Moriondo gets into a fist fight with All Time Low and chills with Vic Fuentes from Pierce the Veil. Great Grandpa, Girlpool, and Joy Again also make cameos.
