Singer-songwriter Georgia Harmer is sharing her debut single “Headrush” today, a feel-good pop jam out through Arts & Crafts. Harmer is the niece of labelmate Sarah Harmer, and previously sang as a backing vocalist for Alessia Cara. “Headrush” is a bright and summery track featuring breezy vocals and muted electric guitar.

In addition to the music’s summertime feel, the retro qualities of the music video which arrives with the track create a sense of nostalgia with its grainy visual that begins with an interior shot of an indoor swimming pool. It then cuts to an exterior shot of Harmer laying on grass before walking in the woods in the evening light. The music video transitions to nighttime, and Harmer is seen running in fields and joined by an ensemble of other women.

Of the release, Harmer says, “I miss moments when I’m no longer in them. ‘Headrush’ is about wanting to go back to a moment and be completely present. Back to that summer day I didn’t realize was heaven until it had passed, only grasping its potency in retrospect.”
