Watch Blake Rose Perform “Casanova” and “Rollerblades” in Los Angeles for “Neighborhoods”

Both tracks appeared on the songwriter’s recently released debut EP A World Gone By.

Blake Rose’s debut EP A World Gone By has been out in the world for a little over a month now, with the four additional tracks to the pre-released singles “Casanova,” “Movie,” and “Ordinary People” solidified as fan favorites at this point. Yet together, these tracks create a body of work that’s easy to get lost in despite clocking in at under 30 minutes. “I try to give listeners an experience,” Rose shared in a press release when the project dropped last month. “I take a lot of time with every element to make sure I’m creating a world people can immerse themselves into.”

Today we’re sharing the “Neighborhoods” set Rose recorded in a backyard in LA, where he shares a stripped-back acoustic version of his breakout single “Casanova,” along with “Rollerblades,” the track which allowed the songwriter to show off his blading skills in the single’s official music video. Breaking from the glossy ’80s sheen of their studio counterparts, watch him perform both tracks below.
