If you need some soul music about getting in touch with your body, then look no further than the latest single from Dutch musician Latanya Alberto. With a sexy bass line Betty Davis would rock and an ease that would make Erykah Badu smile, on “Futurity,” Alberto embodies the confidence to question one’s corporeal being and also embrace the sultry power that flows in each of her skeletal movements. Despite the harshness of the world, Alberto looks to her future with aspiration for growth.

“Futurity is about having the power of ambition and potential in terms of art and sensuality,” Alberto said. “Being powerful in my sensuality is the foundation of my future, of my body as a home, and my sensuality as a form of art.” The song follows her EP The Royal Escape that came out earlier this year.
