Tame Impala are coming to North America. Today they’ve announced their 2022 tour that begins at the end of February. Along with the announcement, they’ve shared the song “No Choice,” which comes from their The Slow Rush Deluxe Box Set that’s out on February 18 via Interscope.
“No Choice” gives us that signature spacey psych-rock with a hint of funk that we’ve come to love from Tame Impala (and wow, love those bongos). “It doesn’t matter if I want to go somewhere new / At the end of the day I have no choice,” Kevin Parker sings dismally at one point. It sounds very fitting of our current pandemic lifestyle. If you wanna be safe and considerate of others, regular life gets shuttered at any moment with a surge in the virus. When it comes to things that are out of our control, there’s no choice.
