GRAMMY-winning multi-hyphenate Robert Glasper has shared a powerful new single titled “Black Superhero,” which features Killer Mike, BJ the Chicago Kid, and Big K.R.I.T. The release—which celebrates the Black community’s protection over their youth and their immense strength as severe inequity and trauma seep into everyday life—announces Glasper’s Black Radio III, the third installment of his Black Radio series to be released on its 10-year anniversary.

“Black Superhero” comes with a video directed by award-winning filmmaker Charlie Buhler that was shot in Los Angeles. “[It’s] a visual love letter to the Black community,” Buhler said in a statement. “It’s an ode to our strength, vibrancy, and joy. We have struggled, and yet we are still here, and not only are we here, but we are so much more than the adversity heaped upon us. I am grateful to Robert and the team at Loma Vista for trusting me with such a powerful and important song, and everyone who came together to help bring the concept to life. It was a true labor of love.”

Black Radio III is scheduled for release on February 25, and the album has a long list of additional features, including Common, Esperanza Spalding, H.E.R., India.Arie, Jennifer Hudson, Musiq Soulchild, PJ Morton, Q-Tip, Ty Dolla $ign, and Yebba.
