Arca has given us so much lately. She recently released a series of albums last year (KICK ii, KicK iii, kick iiii, kiCK iiiii) and the productive artist has returned today with a remix of avant-garde trailblazer Laurie Anderson's "Big Science."

"Big Science" is the title track from Anderson's 1982 album. It featured the inimitable formula of Anderson on vocals, OB-Xa, percussion, and electronics; Roma Baran on glass harmonica; Perry Hoberman on bottles; and David Van Tieghem on RotoToms and timpani, as well as Anderson, Baran, and Hoberman on “sticks.”

Arca's remix was produced in her Barcelona home studio in the summer of 2021. It strips Anderson's lyrical part from the original and lets the clanging percussion and swaying vocal sighs persist in a 10-minute meditation.
