Last week, Animal Collective released an iPhone app that allows you to collaborate on a digital “painting” with a friend while listening to the song “Lying in the Grass,” from the band’s new album. Now, the iPhoneless can hear the Painting With track for themselves on Spotify.
It’s the second cut we’ve heard from Painting With—one of our Most Anticipated Albums of 2016—following “FloriDada.” The Panda Bear–led song laces saxophones and flutes through a dubby bassline reminiscent of the rubber-ball squelches of the band’s Merriweather Post Pavilion.
