It’s 2016, and so far, only people who happened to have been flying through BWI over Thanksgiving have heard the entirety of the new Animal Collective record, Painting With. That’ll change on February 19, when the group’s tenth LP is released. But you can prep yourself for that day with the video for lead single “FloriDada,” which came out this morning.
The clip, which was directed by PFFR (the production company behind Adult Swim‘s The Heart, She Holler), is an exhaustingly psychedelic tale of romance between two alien life forms. Thanks to the swirling colors, the rapid-fire cuts, and the on-screen waggling of the titular state, the “FloriDada” video has been identified as potentially triggering seizures in those who suffer from photosensitive epilepsy, so watch with caution.
