Anderson .Paak, Florence + the Machine, and Kaytranada Top FORM Arcosanti Festival
Skrillex, Japanese Breakfast, Pussy Riot, and more set for Arizona in May.
Arcosanti, Arizona, is the place to be over the weekend of May 10, when the annual three-day creative retreat & festival named after its host city takes over the town.
The 2019 musical lineup is topped by Florence + the Machine, Kaytranada, Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals, and Skrillex. Pussy Riot, American Football, Japanese Breakfast, Destroyer, and Peggy Gou are also among the artists scheduled to perform, plus the event will feature Tónandi with Magic Leap and Sigur Rós.
The intimate event capped at just two thousand attendees, who will engage with FORM’s “cultural program,” which includes “talks, panels, workshops, immersive art, poetry, new technologies, and outdoor/wellness activities with topics ranging from environmentalism to social justice, architecture, design, and more.”
“Seeing a performance in the Arcosanti Amphitheater is unlike anything else,” explained FORM curator Zach Tetrault in a press statement. “The intimacy and intentional design of the space makes every audience member feel like they are a part of the show. Having artists like Florence and .Paak play in that venue will be a life changing experience. It’s also important to us to feature groundbreaking poets like Yrsa Daley-Ward who are completely changing the landscape of poetry forever. We couldn’t be more grateful and excited about this year.”
