Every day this month, FLOOD and Fender have shared a new video in our collaborative digital concert series titled the Vote Arts and Minds Sessions with the goal of encouraging folks to sign a petition to put the Arts & Music Funding Initiative—which would lead to increased arts and music education in public schools—on California’s November 2022 ballot. So far we’ve shared sessions with artists including Joyce Manor, Claud, Geographer, and No Vacation, and today we’re unveiling Ade’s performance of the track “Die” from the debut LP he dropped last year.
The eclectic tune about alternative medicine—as he detailed for us—gets the full-band treatment in the live video which sees an ensemble of musicians bringing the track to life alongside Ade’s vocals. The video ends with a message from the artist in support of music programs for students, specifically shouting out his high school percussion ensemble teacher. “It makes you really wanna keep making music,” he concludes, “which I have!” Watch it all below.
Special thanks to the band and crew for helping making this session happen.
