Get Better Records announced their latest signee today: Try the Pie, the quartet led by self-taught San Jose–based musician Bean Tupou with drummer Nick Lopez, bassist Bailey Lupo, and guitarist Laine Barriga rounding out the lineup. Their new single "New Dust," which fucking slaps, is their first release since 2015's Domestication.

"It scares my to know I am like dust," Tupou sings during the chorus. The track's poetry doesn't shy away from unsettling hints at mortality, fragility, and lack of control. Although Tupou makes a vulnerable admittance, their voice is resolute and ready to walk through the darkness as guitars bristle around them.
