The long-awaited return of Coachella launches this weekend in Indio, California (or at home), and FLOOD celebrated last night with the inaugural Desert Disco kick-off party with our friends at The Alibi. Located in the heart of Palm Springs on the iconic Palm Canyon Drive, the freshly opened club was founded by longtime Spaceland and The Echo talent buyer Liz Garo and restaurateur Melanie Tusquellas (Edendale Grill, El Chavo, Gold Diggers).
Industry influencers and artists mingled on the sprawling outdoor patio, sipped Tepozán tequila and Firestone Walker 805s, and danced to the funky grooves of rising pop star and bass virtuoso Blu DeTiger, acclaimed DJ /producer Jahi Sunshine (DJ for jazz giants Robert Glasper and Christian McBride, among others), and LA's own teen indie darling DJ Chocolatebarbangs.
Check out some pics from last night by FLOOD photographer Mallory Turner below, and stay tuned for more coverage from the fest grounds this weekend. Special thanks to PG-13 (Post-Gender World), 805, Mad Tasty, and Tepozán for being part of our inaugural event with The Alibi.
