With Tenacious D set to embark on a nearly sold-out string of dates across the Western United States next week, Jack Black and Kyle Gass have a few other exciting updates to share. This evening, they’ve unleashed a medley of The Who songs—both in the form of a video helmed by Pick of Destiny director Liam Lynch, and in the form of a soon-to-be-released 7-inch—with the goal of raising funds for gun safety organization Everytown for Gun Safety. The tracks featured in the medley include “Pinball Wizard,” “There’s a Doctor,” and “Go to the Mirror!”

“Who better to deliver a tribute to the greatest rock opera of all times?” the duo queried in a press release. “Who? The D! That’s Who!! We’ve been working on this medley for 20 years. It’s finally ready to be unleashed. Crank it. It’s a humdinger.”

Additionally—and seemingly totally unrelatedly—the pair are also announcing a forthcoming line of fiber bars called [Jack Black voice, probably] “Tenacious D D’Lish,” a limited-time peanut-butter-and-chocolate delicacy that, unfortunately, will coincide with the theatrical run of a Cronenberg movie about consuming plastic in the form of delicious-looking bars.
