Last month, North Carolina duo Sylvan Esso released the single "Sunburn," which they've today followed up with "Your Reality." The two new singles mark the band's entrance into a new era of their career, following their first three albums which are considered a trilogy. "Your Reality" features a string arrangement from Gabriel Kahane and drums by TJ Maiani.
Amelia Meath and Nick Sanborn are pushing themselves into strange, and subtler territory. Sanborn explained they were seeing "how weird we can take it…how bare and strange something can be." Meath's vocals are accompanied by quick, silvery string embellishments and frenetic bleeps and buzzes. She expounds on the limitless possibilities for life: "Surreal but free, it's your reality."
