As can be expected from the ebb-and-flow of life, after a long period of restless quarantine, Madeline Link released her debut album as PACKS before diving right back into extensive touring when the world opened up again. Despite the exhaustion of all of that—and the fact that she’d lost her voice upon her return home—there was a certain momentum there that encouraged her to begin recording her next project which wound up being the forthcoming WOAH EP, a collection of songs that manages to take advantage of the strain of touring by capturing Link’s depleted vocals alongside low-exertion acoustic guitar.

The latest song from the EP specifically captures that energy, with “iknowiknow” meditating on the mindset of taking on more projects the more one feels drained of energy. Of the unaccompanied acoustic track, she shares: “We all know destiny is exciting, right? When you’re past knowing how exhausted you truly are it’s easy to find yourself saying yes to everything and everyone as destiny runs away with quiet feet.”
