It’s been over a decade now since Panda Bear released his first collaboration with Sonic Boom, 2011’s Tomboy. By that point, both artists had established successful solo ventures outside of the bands they initially found fame with—Noah Lennox with Animal Collective, Peter Kember with Spacemen 3—and bonded over a mutual interest in spaced-out psychedelic soundscapes on that record as well as the subsequent Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper

Today the pair have announced that they’ve reconnected for their first official joint release titled Reset, which, despite its name, isn’t a far cry from their collaborations of the past. Set for an August 12 release through Domino Records, the album’s first single “Go On” is a lilting, looping, and fairly minimal recording built upon a repeating pair of guitar chords and backing handclaps.

The single arrives with a visual depicting a psychedelic dramatization of what happens to your pinball before it returns to its launchpad—check that out below, and pre-order the record here. One dollar from every purchase benefits the environmental restoration project Earth Island Institute.
