After a three-year silence, FIDLAR—an acronym, for those of you who’ve forgotten at some point over the past decade, for “Fuck It Dog, Life’s a Risk”—have returned with a new single that takes us back to the SoCal punks’ roots as a havoc-wreaking force of nature. “FSU”—another acronym which you could probably figure out in at least three guesses—arrives on the heels of 2019’s Almost Free, and is promised to feature on a forthcoming EP slated for release some time next year.

“New FIDLAR is leaning into the extremes,” the band shared in a press statement regarding the Dave Sardy–produced track. “Loud, louder, loud. Three chords and the truth. Catchy and obnoxious. Lyrics are very thought mouth. It’s speaking to the FIDIOTS of the world.”

The abrasive single comes with a music video full of the bad-decision imagery the group’s embraced since their 2013 self-titled, including but not limited to a FIDLAR stick-and-poke and a drum set fully covered in cocaine. Check it out below.
