Dan Deacon is a man whose creative wheels never stop turning. If his insanely fun live shows or the intricate details within his music don’t convince you of Deacon’s playful inventiveness, just take a gander at any of his music videos. Near the end of last year, Deacon dropped the strange-yet-hilarious video for Gliss Riffer‘s “Feel the Lightning” featuring horny furniture, and earlier this week, he released a gorgeous animated mosaic for another Gliss Riffer track, “When I Was Done Dying.”

Created in conjunction with Off the Air—Adult Swim’s 4 a.m. “late-night video mixtape”—Deacon’s latest adventure into the music video world features the unique animated art of nine animators (Jake Fried, Chad Van Gaalen, Dimitri Stankowicz, Colin White, Taras Hrabowsky, Anthony Francisco Schepperd, Masanobu Hiraoke, Caleb Wood, and Koko Freakbean) with Dave Hughes at the helm.

If you can’t, or don’t want to, get “When I Was Done Dying” out of your head, the track is currently available as a free download from iTunes all this week. Now, if the album version of the track isn’t enough to satisfy your Deacon cravings, check out his upcoming tour dates below to see where you can catch him live.
