Expanding upon a storied history of infection garage-rock acts born and bred in Southern California, today sees the release of the debut single from Blair Gun, a collective of 21-year-old punks from San Diego pulling from international post-punk scenes as much as they are the music from their own backyard. “Lemondrops” introduces that combination with a fusion of raucous basement-show energy and calculated guitar riffs emphasizing angst-ridden lyrics.

“It’s about an incurable feeling of dissatisfaction that you can't escape, that follows you everywhere,” the band shares. “It's about seeking refuge in self-destructive vices and how counterproductive that can be.”

The single arrives with an animated music video—check that out below, and keep tabs on the group here.
