Written for Noah Baumbach’s on-screen adaptation of Don DeLillo’s 1985 novel White Noise, LCD Soundsystem have released “new body rhumba,” their first new music since 2017’s American Dream. The anthemic, seven-minute dance cut reportedly soundtracks a full-ensemble sequence that takes place at the end of the film, according to early reviews.

White Noise premiered earlier this year at the Venice Film Festival and stars Adam Driver, Greta Gerwig, and Don Cheadle. It’s Baumbach’s highly anticipated follow-up to his Oscar-nominated Marriage Story, which came out in 2019. Along with the new song, LCD Soundsystem will undergo a 20-show residency at Brooklyn Steel this winter, starting on November 18. Tickets will go on sale to the public on October 7—you can find those here.
