A quickly approaching new year means a new slate of music fests, and today the festival of all festivals announced its 2023 lineup. Primavera Sound, which will now hold events in both Barcelona and Madrid next June, revealed that Depeche Mode, Kendrick Lamar, Blur, Rosalía, Halsey, FKA twigs, St. Vincent, The Moldy Peaches, Calvin Harris, and Le Tigre will all take the stage next summer.

Barcelona will host its events at Parc del Fòrum from June 1-3, and Madrid will follow at Ciudad del Rock in Arganda del Rey from June 8-10. Primavera also announced that "both festivals will share a plural and gender-balance line-up of more than 200 names over two consecutive weekends." Yay equality!

Other highlights include Turnstile, Pusha T, Yves Tumor, Caroline Polachek, Kelela, JPEGMAFIA, Christine & the Queens, Alvvays, Channel Tres, Sudan Archives, Alex G, Japanese Breakfast, Julia Jacklin, Arlo Parks, Jockstrap, Surf Curse, Laurie Anderson, Young Lean, Julia Holter, Nation of Language, Bleachers, Built to Spill, Hudson Mohawke, The Voidz, and many more. And did I read that right? Death Grips? Yet again, Primavera is full us surprises and heavy hitters.
