There's a pearly heaviness to Samia's voice. The Nashville-via-NYC musician conjures tears with the sheer luminescent vulnerability of her honeyed verses and silvery high notes—but it isn't until you listen to what she has to say that the waterworks begin to take hold. Today she shared her latest proof of this talent with the companion singles "Sea Lions" and "Pink Balloon," which illustrate different moments of a fractured relationships. Both singles come from her forthcoming sophomore album Honey that's out January 27 via Grand Jury Music.

“‘Pink Balloon’ is trying to make amends by looking at it from a bird’s eye [view] after everything got too complicated," Samia shared. "‘Sea Lions’ is not zoomed out—stewing in it, too angry to work it out or let it go, finding old voicemails and trying to decide where it went wrong on a loop until you have to run it off, running until you were never angry in the first place.”

The tracks are also accompanied by two linked visuals directed by Samia and Jacqueline Justice. Check out both below and pre-order Honey here.
