It’s become a little bit easier to stomach the 20-year remove from the early-aughts garage-rock revival lately thanks to Lizzy Goodman’s Meet Me in the Bathroom and its recent documentary adaptation, and among the latest records from that era to hit its two-decade anniversary is The White Stripes’ breakout LP Elephant. To celebrate the occasion, Jack White’s Third Man Records has slotted the release as the latest installment of their Vault Package series, a subscription-only series peddling exclusive releases from the label as well as live sets from the Third Man studio.
The reissue will see the 2003 album fully remixed in MONO and pressed on red and white vinyl, along with a bonus 7-inch featuring demos of “Hypnotize” and “You’ve Got Her in Your Pocket.” Additionally, the package includes a DVD compiling various live sets, studio footage, and music videos, as well as a 28-page 12x12-inch booklet of various previously unseen photos and handwritten notes from the era.
