Sterling Archer may very well be the most crass and offensive secret agent of all time (and that’s really saying something in the grand scheme of things), but for avid fans of the show, it’s also clear that he may simply be misunderstood.
OK, not really, but Archer actually does seem to be some kind of idiot savant, as he frequently drops some of the most truly dynamite literary references in television history, from Abelard to Zola, casually leaving the plebs behind in a perpetual state of retreating to Wikipedia.
