Last year, Cole Haden, Jack Wetmore, Ruben Radlauer, and Aaron Shapiro shared their latest high-octane single as Model/Actriz, which was followed by news of the group's debut album Dogsbody that will arrive February 24 via True Panther. Today they've returned with another rabid single called "Crossing Guard," alongside an equally invigorating music video.
Model/Actriz's songs have the enticing and intoxicating buildups similar to LCD Soundsystem, The Rapture, or even Interpol. But there's something disturbed in this music, waiting to break through like a worm digging through fresh earth. Still, Model/Actriz don't take themselves too seriously, repeating Lady Gaga's birth name on their latest release.
Nathan Castiel's video for "Crossing Guard" features a delirious occult circle, a baptism, and some avant-garde choreography, with the director explaining the angle was to “depict a day in the life of a normal suburban American family.” See for yourself below, and pre-order Dogsbody here.
