The band Sylvan Esso — Amelia Meath (left) and Nick Sanborn — in Los Angeles. The married indie rock/electro-pop duo were about to release a new album, “No Rules Sandy.”

Sylvan Esso kept plenty busy in 2022 between releasing their experimental fourth album No Rules Sandy and ushering in a slew of exclusive singles from the moment’s most exciting new artists via their record label Psychic Hotline, while the duo’s Amelia Meath also released her debut album alongside Daughter of Swords’ Alexandra Sauser-Monnig as The A’s. They even got to throw out a first pitch at an MLB game.

In the aftermath of all this, Meath and bandmate/partner Nick Sanborn took the time to record an episode of FLOOD FM’s “Hacked” series in which they exhibited the eclectic taste which informed their latest album, spinning tunes from artists including Helado Negro, Aldous Harding, Pink Siifu & YUNGMORPHEUS, and Arushi Jain. Tune into FLOOD FM here all week to catch the episode air at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 5 p.m., and 10 p.m. PST through Friday the 24th.
