Shortly after releasing their debut album About a Boy last fall, bedroom-dream-pop duo Dream, Ivory have already followed the project up with a sequel of sorts in the form of their collection of stripped-back reworkings of these same songs titled About a Boy (Naked), which brothers Christian and Louie Baello shared earlier this year. While those tracks removed the vibrant and industrial synth textures that marked their debut in order to bare the glitchy emo songwriting at their core, the group’s upcoming North American tour will return their focus to the upbeat sounds of the original record. “We love getting to visit and play new cities and states that we haven’t hit, as well as meet and interact with fans new and old,” Louie shared back when the tour was announced. “Our shows are always a safe space and we love hanging out and meeting everyone.”

With those dates kicking off this Wednesday at El Cid in the duo’s hometown of Los Angeles, the rest of the month will see them traversing the Southwest on their way to SXSW, followed by a slew of dates in the Midwest and East Coast. And in case you were wondering what the pair will be jamming in the tour van between these stops, they crafted a playlist to give us a sense of where their heads will be at when they take the stage. From the eclectic electronics of Radiohead and The 1975, to grunge and emo classics from Garbage and American Football, to cult Chicago shoegaze outfit Airiel, you can listen along to what’ll be plugged into the aux with the track list they assembled below.
