Today, The National announced the return of their Cincinnati-based shindig Homecoming Festival. The two-day event returns after its first run in 2018, taking place on September 15 and 16. The performing acts include Patti Smith & Her Band, Pavement, Weyes Blood, Julia Jacklin, Arooj Aftab, Snail Mail, and The Walkmen. The National, who released their latest album First Two Pages of Frankenstein last month, will also headline both nights.
“When we launched Homecoming in 2018, we were overwhelmed by the response from the community and by our renewed sense of connection to our hometown,” the Cincy-reared band shared in a press statement. “It was such an exciting, memorable weekend and we’ve long hoped to bring it back. We’re honored to return to Cincinnati five years later and be joined by so many of our favorite musicians and friends.”
Tickets go on sale May 19 at 7 a.m. PT. In the meantime, check out the lineup below.
