Jenny Lewis has returned with the fourth taste of her forthcoming album Joy’All in the form of the sultry and biting new single “Cherry Baby.” On the track—which follows previous pre-album releases “Giddy Up,” “Psychos,” and “Puppy and a Truck”—Lewis sings over bouncy percussion, warm piano chords, and an acoustic guitar line that adds a perfectly subtle texture to her sweet voice. She sings, “Life’s a mystery / We’ll just wait and see / If I don’t lose my mind / I’ll get it right this time,” before adding a caveat: “’Cause I fall in love / Too easy too easy / With anyone / Who touches me.”

Lewis is also gearing up for a nationwide tour that includes shows on the upcoming 20th anniversary Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie co-headlining tour, supporting dates for the Beck and Phoenix co-headlining Summer Odyssey Tour, as well as her own headlining dates in support of Joy’All.

Check out “Cherry Baby” below, and pre-order Joy’All—out June 9th on Blue Note/Capitol Records—here.
