Since releasing her debut single in 2018, LA-based songwriter Sedona has amassed an impressive portfolio for an artist with no debut record to speak of. In addition to consistently releasing singles (as well as one EP) over the past five years, several of those songs have seen placement in series ranging from Catfish to Disney’s supernatural comedy Just Beyond, in addition to earning her opening spots for artists including TOPS, Nation of Language, Barrie, and Triathlon and a feature on the posse cut (titled “Posse Cut”) closing out Drugdealer’s 2022 record Hiding in Plain Sight.
With confirmation that that debut is in the works, Sedona has returned with her second new track of the year with “Domino,” a ’90s alt-pop-sourced anthem for days that go from bad to worse. “Life has a way of knocking you down when you’re already down,” Sedona shares. “This song sheds light on a feeling we’re all familiar with—disappointment. When something doesn’t work out how we hoped it would, it stings, it burns. And sometimes that burn triggers what feels like a domino effect of trouble.”
The track arrives with an aptly ’90s-home-video quality visual shot by Allison Goldfarb which sees Sedona belting the song out in front of an overcast sky. Watch it below.
