The Hives have returned with “Rigor Mortis Radio,” the third single off their first album in over a decade, The Death of Randy Fitzsimmons. The record arrives via FUGA on August 11.
The track follows previously released singles “Bogus Operandi” and “Countdown to Shutdown.” On “Rigor Mortis Radio,” stomping drums and handclaps lead the way, alongside sharp, biting guitars. These instruments set the stage for lead vocalist Pelle Almqvist, who comes through with his signature sardonic swagger, singing, “You never seen me look so good before / This silver lining and this golden glow / This shine all mine / Looking like I’m fresh off an assembly line.”
