Shortly after releasing their first album in eight years, The Ballad of Darren, Blur has shared a pair of bonus tracks from the deluxe edition of the LP, entitled “The Rabbi” and “The Swan.” The former is a jangly psych-pop number full of swirling guitar riffs and a kitchen-sink array of percussion. “The Swan” is the quieter of the two, a pretty track built around brushed drums and a slightly swung guitar melody.
Produced by James Ford and recorded at Studio 13, London and Devon, The Ballad of Darren is the band’s ninth studio album, their first since the chart-topping The Magic Whip in 2015, with artwork featuring an image by British photographer Martin Parr.
