Since bursting onto the scene in 1991 with their iconic jangle-pop opus Bandwagonesque—their third album released in a little over a year—Teenage Fanclub have hardly slowed down since. While now we’ve gotten used to waiting a slightly more reasonable five years between albums rather than two, the reveal of new LP Nothing Lasts Forever just two years removed from 2021’s Endless Arcade signals a picking up of the youthful pace of their early years.
With that twelfth album slated for release next Friday via Merge Records, the UK group will be joining us for a special episode of FLOOD FM’s “Hacked” in the meantime, which will intersect with the station’s weekly “Flashback Sunday” series. For one day only, on September 17, Teenage Fanclub will be spinning an eclectic mix ranging from Serge Gainsbourg to Thin Lizzy. Airing throughout the day at 8 a.m., 12 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m., and 10 p.m., tune in to FLOOD FM here to catch the episode.
