It’s honestly been just too long. But 2015 will finally see the defiant return of the incomparable, incendiary Peaches.
The last we heard from the artist born Merrill Nisker was 2009 record I Feel Cream and her 2012 film Peaches Does Herself. Now, the preaches of Peaches will be back in two forms: first, the release of a book which includes photographs from German photographer Holger Talinski, as well as commentary from Peaches herself, as well as Yoko Ono, Ellen Page, and Michael Stipe. What Else Is in the Teaches of Peaches will be out June 2; second (and !!!), Peaches will also release a new record, called RUB, this year, according to the book’s press release. Pitchfork reports that Kim Gordon may be on the new record, as she recently discussed recording a song called “Close Up” and filming the music video with Peaches, during an interview with Marc Maron on WTF.
You can pre-order the book on Akashic Books now. More info on the forthcoming Peaches record as it becomes available.
