Instrumental demi-gods Ratatat are back, and very much so at that, with a much buzzed-about Coachella performance under their belts, and last month’s release of the new track “Cream On Chrome” that sent die-hards on a nostalgic trip to the simpler times of the 2000s.
After a month of teasing us as to whether the track was indeed from a new album—their would-be first in five years—the band has now confirmed and detailed the release, titled Magnifique, and out in just two months, on July 14.
Recorded over the course of the last four years, the album will feature “Cream On Chrome,” which will be the second track following “Intro,” a little one-minute number heard in a teaser video quietly released last week.
