Houston-based purveyors of all things chill Khruangbin have shared a new single titled “May Ninth,” which will be featured on the group’s upcoming LP A La Sala, out April 5 via Dead Oceans. The (surprise!) extremely chill track melts along with plucked bass notes and a guitar line that ebbs and flows like the ocean tide. The wistful lyrics convey a yearning for a time that may never have existed.
Khruangbin have also expanded their recently announced North American tour, which will find the trio at the Coachella, Boston Calling, and Bonnaroo music festivals as well as playing multiple nights at Colorado’s Red Rocks, New York’s Forest Hills Tennis Stadium, Berkeley’s Greek Theatre, and more.
You’ll probably hear “May Ninth” on tour, but you can also listen to it below. Pre-order A La Sala here.
