Julian Casablancas & The Voidz have shared a new track called “All the Same,” which is accompanied by a documentary episode of Rebekah Sherman-Myntti’s variety series TOMORROW! titled “NITE 4: DAY OF THE DEAD.” The episode was filmed on the final evening of the band’s sold-out four-night run at Brooklyn’s Murmrr Theatre in late October last year.
On the new five-and-a-half-minute song, Casablancas buries his voice in effects, allowing twangy guitar and galloping percussion to lead the way. “All the Same” will also be featured in the forthcoming feature film Drugstore June, which will be released on February 23. The film was directed by Nicholaus Goossen and stars Miranda Cosgrove (shout out Drake & Josh).
