It’s been a big year already for double albums, with one kind of person evidently being very pleased with Taylor’s recent omnibus, and another, entirely separate kind of person still busy unpacking the new Cindy Lee record. But Australian duo Good Morning beat both artists to the punch by releasing their two-disc Good Morning Seven (their seventh album, in case that wasn’t clear) all the way back in March.
Since then the band has kept busy with a North American tour opening for Waxahatchee. But before setting on that trek they filmed a “Neighborhoods” session in their hometown of Melbourne where they strummed through the album track “Real I’m Told” in band member Stefan Blair’s brother’s backyard. Stripped of its keys, tight percussion, and production value, the performance is a rawer look at the duo’s songwriting abilities. Check it out below, and find their remaining tour dates here.
