Caroline Polachek has shared a new single titled “Starburned and Unkissed”—two things I most certainly am not! The track is featured in the forthcoming spoooky horror film I Saw the TV Glow, which is set to arrive via A24 and is quite groundbreaking according to a cinephile friend of mine (shoutout Collins). The smooth synth jam coalesces around Polachek’s instantly recognizable voice and melodies strummed on new-wavey guitar, while the crunchy chorus provides quite the textural shift. The song was produced by A. G. Cook alongside Polachek.
Alongside yeule’s previous released Broken Social Scene cover featured in the film’s trailer, the soundtrack will include tracks from Sloppy Jane and Phoebe Bridgers, L’Rain, Bartees Strange, The Weather Station, Drab Majesty, and more, while an additional score was composed by Alex G.
